Hello. Microwave door shuts but light stays on and won't cook - says "door" on message. I unplugged bc the light is getting hot. I ordered the 3 door switches and I am wondering if anyone can help with detailed installation instructions and advise.

Thank you!

Hi,

Not sure if this will help....but:

Change 1 switch at a time.
Take pictures for reference.
Check each of the mechanism that activates that switch.
Also check door key(s) on the door that push/activate the switches.

I found a service manual and linked it here for you.

I hope something here helps,

jeff sr.

Ctablert150, with the power cord removed, the vent grille would need to be taken off. From there, the control panel mounting screw can be removed and the control panel lifted up and out. A picture should be taken of the control wires to assist in identifying wire location during the re-install process. Once the panel is removed, the latch assembly mounting screws can be removed and the latch assembly moved out for better access. Starting at the top, remove the switch, replace it with the new one, and switch the wires over one at a time. This will be repeated for each switch going down. Once all of the switches have been replaced, the microwave can be reassembled.
