I have a Samsung RF26VABBP/XAA refrigerator and have an ice buildup Behind the panels at the rear of the refer. I know that the fan is not working and wondering if anything else might cause this ice build-up. I have the replacement fan motor, but is there anything else that I am missing before I start the motor replacement

Mark7604, thank you for your question. This type of failure is commonly caused by the defrost drain port under the evaporator clogging up, which can be cleared using hot tap water. The second common cause is a failure in the defrost heater, bi-metal, or sensor.
