Can anyone suggest what I might check on for replacement / repair with this scenario? I would like to address before something fails.

At first, I thought my dishwasher was running. It sounds like the dishwasher jets are spinning and pumping water through the unit - a "whooshing" sound. Instead, my refrigerator is making the noise, which might be a fan or motor cycling on and off repeatedly. The refrigerator, freezer, and icemaker components are all working fine, currently. This unit has been in use for about 11 years.

Thanks for any ideas!

Dougzara, it is possible that the "whooshing" sound being heard is the freon system equalizing. Is there a slight gurgle or bubbling sound heard after the whooshing?
