I started to get uE errors very consistently with my Kenmore Elite washer a month or so ago. Looking online, a common suggestion was to replace the suspension rods. I bought them, I will replace them, but the washer has been making very strange/violent noises the last couple days.

See this video (with sound on): https://imgur.com/a/lxcl6Yg

This doesn't sound like a spring issue, so either I might have a second issue or something else is going on? Can anyone try to diagnose this from the sound?

PirateToast, based on the noise, it sounds like there is an issue with the spin basket and possibly the transmission. The agitator plate would need to be removed and the spin basket hub and transmission shaft inspected.
