I have a Kenmore model 795.78409.801 French Door model.

Ice builds up on the bottom of the freezer and eventually starts leaking on the floor.
The water line, (ice maker) is not attached so I don't know where the water is coming from.

I have to remove everything in the freezer, remove basket and break the ice out and then its fine for about a month.

Has anyone ever heard of this before, this started about a year ago.

Celshaug, this is going to be an indicator that the defrost drain line under the evaporator has clogged. This can be cleared using hot tap water and a turkey baster to inject the hot water into the drain port. The drain tube 5251JA3003B in the compressor section would also need to be replaced.
