I have a 17 yr old LG Refrigerator LRBC20512WW with bottom freezer and it periodically leaks water onto the floor. When I open the the freezer door, there is a thin (about 1/8") ridge of ice inside the freezer, up against the bottom of the freezer door/gasket.

The food is frozen but has some freezer burn. My thought is that the gasket is not forming a tight seal and allowing just enough warm air in to melt a little ice. Then some of the water refreezes, forming the ridge at the gasket.

The refrigerator/freezer is in my garage (in Florida). It keeps the beer cold in the top (refrig section) and mostly keeps things frozen in the bottom (freezer). I am guessing I need a new gasket.

Does this sound right?
Thanks in advance.
