So, I have an older style Roper washing machine. Today, the washer filled with water like normal. It began the aggetation cycle for about 2 minutes and stopped. It would seem the problem would point to a lid switch. I bypassed the lid switch, leaving the ground connected. Same results. Nothing happened. I do not hear any noises what so ever from the washer when its "activated". I would expect to hear the timer running if the bypass worked at least.
The washer is plugged in and the breaker is good.
Any ideas?
The only sound it will make is when I switch the load size back and forth to large and super, it will add water for a second and stop. This confirms there is power to the unit at least.

Can you try a different cycle and see if that works? Maybe the timer is going if this model has one. I know my Whirlpool had some odd issues when it was going.
