I installed a new igniter and thermal fuse on my Kenmore gas dryer. But the igniter doesnt glow. Checked all the other fuses, they seem fine. Do the gas pump coils have anything to do with the igniter working? Should I change those?

Yes but also check all connections as some may have broken wires and the insulation may be holding them together. Solenoids are always suspect.
