This morning, the front right burner of my Whirlpool WEG515S0FW0 slide-in gas range wouldn't turn off. The valve felt frozen (it turned on normally but wouldn't turn back off). I tried turning it hard, and it felt like something broke, and the knob turned easily, but the gas didn't turn off (or adjust the flame at all). I believe I need to replace the gas valve, but I wanted to make sure I could get at it before ordering a replacement. I've removed the screws for each of the burners, and the screws in the back of the top. I've removed the trim piece on the front between the control panel and the top of the oven opening. I'm not sure what to do next to get at the valve to replace it. Lifting from the back, the top lifts up over the burners, but it still seems to be connected under the control panel. It seems like I would want to be able to unscrew somewhere to be able to lift the top, the control panel and the manifold all as one unit, but I'm not sure where those screws might be (if that's even right.) I haven't been able to find a video that shows this specific range. Any suggestions on next steps? Thanks!
