Hi there, 2 year old Whirlpool WDT730PAHB not cleaning very well. I did all the initial troubleshooting:

1- it's getting water (although I'm not certain it's getting enough)
2- the pump is working (at least part of the time; I can hear sloshing)
3- Filters are clear
4- Jets aren't clogged

I thought the best thing to do would be diag mode. However, I didn't get a tech data sheet with this, and I can figure out how to do it for this model. I tried the 3 buttons 3 times method- it seems like it's starting to work, as all the light on the display light up, and then when I close the door the front LED is lit, but that goes off within 5 seconds and nothing happens. I don't know what's supposed to happen there. Maybe that's normal?

And when I say I'm not certain about the water- on initial fill, I listened for the water running and when it stopped I waited 10 seconds or so and opened it up- the level was very low. When I closed it, it filled up some more- I think I did this 3 or 4 times when it was finally at a good level and it started spraying. I came back an hour or so later and the light was on but no activity (I don't think this is particularly unusual; I've noticed 'pause' periods when it was running fine) so I opened it up to see what was going on. Good amount of water in the bottom- when I closed the door again, in 5 or 10 seconds it started sloshing & spraying. I sat there a good 30 minutes (I have no life!!) and noticed the cadence of the pump/spin whatever it is you hear changed a few times. I would have expected it to be consistent throughout the wash cycle. At the end of the run, the dishes weren't particularly dirty, but not sparkling clean like usual either. The plates where a little cloudy.

This is all with "sensor" mode. I do clean the dishwasher monthly. I use Cascade tabs. Very hard water.

So I guess questions 1: What's the deal with Diag mode on this? And where can I get a tech data sheet?

Thanks!
