Unit is 10+ yrs old looks like new and has only been used about 5 yrs, past 3 yrs mostly just sitting and only plugged in maybe once or twice. My son gave me the unit and I moved it into florida room and plugged it in but it will not blow cold air. So knowing a little about electronics I thought maybe it was the start relay and costing less than $10 I put a new one in but still no cold air. The compressor is running and gets a little warm so I opened evap compartment to check fan and it is moving air but the coils are at room temp; now I'm stumped. Could the thermistor cause it from cooling, leak in lines and/or lost Freon. Should evap feel cold to touch. I'm 74 and don't want to really have to move this monster around again if I can fix for under a few hundred based on its condition. thanks
Forgot to say I checked compressor from common to start and got 6, from common to run and got 4.9 and r to s and got 11 so figured the compressor was good. Also test relay and got 1.8 ohm.
