Using Model 106.73003510 as an example there is less then a quarter inch wide by one eighth inch thick piece of plastic that actually holds the outer edge of the Hexagon sided cap that the door pivot slides into. My experience has been that this is a common problem with this type of refrigerator door. As a component part of the door it can only be replaced by replacing the entire door at of cost of approximately $350 in white up to about $685 dollars in stainless steel WERE THE DOORS TO BE IN STOCK WHICH THEY ARE NOT!

There is an easy fix using "Steel Quick Set Epoxy Putty" available at auto parts stores for about $10 a unit (it takes two). This putty is hand mixed by twisting it together until it is one color (it starts light grey or white and black). I do large marble size pieces at a time. When mixed this putty get warm and sets up in 5 minutes and is fully hardened and cured in 30 minutes. You simply turn the door upside down and fill the cavity with putty to hold the hex shaped cap in place. Wait 30 minutes and reinstall the door.
