I have a Ge frontload washer, Model# GBVH6260FWW built in 2005 and bought new in 2006. I replaced the pump last year. The cleanout is clean and seems to drain fine. It will not go into service mode as the delay button randomly works the signal/extra rinse/ prewash buttons. So I can't get any error codes. Most of the buttons must be pressed a couple of times to make them work. I assume I need a new control board for that following reason. I've tested the washer in a 18 minute Rinse and spin cycle. -When you hit start the door locks and begins to fill with water -About 2 minutes in the dispensor motion will activate -8 minutes in, the water level is at the door seal, it will begin to drain. Pump works fine then pulses for 3 minutes. Still no spinning yet -13 minutes everything stops, the door unlocks and the start button is flashing -You press Start, the door locks, and it will spin right then left for one revolution -14 minutes in it begins to fill again -18 minutes in,(Display still show 4 minutes left) -22 minutes in at it begins draining -26 minutes in, (display still reads 1 minute left) pump pulses again for 3 minutes and then stops, and the start button is flashing again.
My question is it worth fixing a 20 year old machine (by replacing the control board) or should I buy another one thank-you for any help
