Hello Everyone,
Thank you for reading my post.
I have Whirlpool top loading washer that no longer delivers hot water when temperature is set to hot.
Instead of hot I get tepid. When set to hot, I hear a pumping sound, in the beginning of the cycle, that eventually tapers off. It sounds like it is coming from the back of the unit and the flow seems to be interrupted, not steady like when set to cold. Operationally, it works fine and doesn't leak water. It just started doing this over the weekend. In your opinion, does it sound like the water inlet valve may be bad and need to be replaced? Any help would be appreciated.
