My whirlpool refrigerator (model # WRS325FDAM04) is loud when dispensing cubed ice only. When dispensing crushed ice, it sounds normal.

If I take the ice bin out of the freezer the grumbling noise is almost completely gone. It sounds more like a soft, higher pitched heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee with maybe the slightest hint of grinding. Where the crushed ice sound is more of a lower and steady huuummmmmmmmmm.

When switching from crushed to cubed, there's a somewhat loud pop as the solenoid shoots up.
