Recently replaced limit switch at upper left of drum heater. Had to remove drum to effect this repair. Drum quit working. Belt tensioner Pulley had dislodged itself, lying in bottom of upper cabinet. Belt beginning to show wear. When repositioned on pulley shaft, it turned roughly. I steel wooled shaft to get clean up roughness, then put lithium grease on shaft, reinstalled pulley and belt. Turned on the dryer. Worked fine for a bit then launched the pulley. 3 times the pulley dislodged itself. Pulley Shaft seems to be cocked to left, as viewed from the back of the cabinet. HELP!

I'd say you probably need a new idler pulley and a new belt. Parts 23 and 25.

Pulley seems to be in good repair, and spins well after cleaning the shaft and lubing. There may be an alignment problem. The idler arm seems to be 'loose', and not tracking well in relation to the drive pulley on the motor. The drawings do not show how this arm attaches to the motor bracket.

I may have answered my own question. Do you have any suggestions for removing the tensioner arm?

Well, I ordered the Idler Assembly and Belt. I am concerned that I was charged too much sales tax.
