I have a Whirlpool Cabrio Model WTW5840BW0, bought in 2013. Recently I was getting sopping wet clothes left after the cycle finished. I did some investigating by running manual tests and ended up replacing the shift actuator. Problem solved with spin cycle. Now there is slow agitation with a clicking noise every 2 seconds or so. I don't know if this is a new problem or if it was occurring before as I didn't pay much attention to the agitation, just went strait for the spin cycle being the issue. I have removed the wash plate to check the hub assembly and all of the teeth appear to be fine. I removed the pump and the drum and did find quite a few finish nails that I removed (the joys of living with a carpenter). I checked the nut on the belt drive, it's tight as it can go. I'm not sure what else it could be at this point. I also recalibrated. Wondering if the shift actuator is the issue and isn't quite the right one? Suggestions?
