I have a Whirlpool Washer, model WTW4950XW3 that wouldn't get out of sensing mode last week. When it did get out of sensing mode and try to wash something it wasn't working right there either so when trying to get it to spin the clothes it wouldn't. I've had this happen before and it turned out to be the actuator. Ordered a new one, installed it, and that part of the washer is working great. It gets out of sensing mode and normally and starts to wash like it's supposed to. Drain and spin works fine now too. But now I've got another problem. After starting a load to check everything, I came back to find the washer had stopped at some point in the wash mode. I push the start button again to see if it just got hung up some where and it started to wash again but then stopped. When you start the washer the lid locks, it starts to sense, it unlocks, then goes back to sensing like it has done since we bought it. Then it starts to fill and after a few minutes it starts to wash. Then it just stops and the lid unlocks. If I push the start button again it goes through the sensing and fill procedure again, tries to wash, and stops. When it has been doing this I notice a very soft buzzing sound that I've never had before. Today I put it in diagnostic mode and got the F8E1 error code which is No Fill/Long Fill. The washer is in the same place it has been for 8+ years, water pressure is normal, etc. We don't currently have the hot water valve on but the hose is hooked up to the washer. The reason we don't have the hot water on is a leaky valve on our basement wall. We've had it off for about a year now and the cold water has been fine. Any tips on what my next move should be?
