Was working, until it sounded like somebody put a couple of hammers in the tub...followed by a loud "BANG" that sounded like a gun shot. Then, nothing but a hummm...apparently locked up.

I put a new transmission, clutch pack, motor adapter and aggitator drive dogs in it in August 2020, DIY, and it worked fine. All that stuff still looks good, but I have not tried pulling the transmission apart to check the little levers and stuff in there. ???

Currently have the drum spanner nut off, but can't get the drum loose. I don't see it being a brake problem, but perhaps drum bushing seized up or drum drive gizmo broken????? The Motor turns freely by hand.

I'm baffled and considering looking for a reconditioned washer of the same type. I don't want belts, motherboards and computer stuff! Any help with diagnosis would be WONDERFUL!!!
