I have a four year old washer that doesn't always spin correctly, sometimes between the wash cycle and rinse cycle and sometimes both. The washer will act like it is out of balance and then directly go in to rinse cycle or tries to fill again after the rinse cycle. The spin light flashes and starts filling with water but doesn't spin. Most of the time the only way I can fix the problem is to set it to drain and spin and sometimes the only way I can fix it is to unplug it and let it sit for a few minutes and then turn it back. Most of the time the clothes are evenly distributed and should not have a caused an issue with out of balance load. We hate to replace the washer since it is only four years old but hate to sink a lot of money into a control board and that not be the problem. We have already paid a repairman over $100.00 to say he didn't know for sure what the issue was other than maybe the control board. The most unusual thing is it may happen over and over again for a couple of weeks and then doesn't happen again for a month or so.

Did you ever find out what the cause was? I'm experiencing this now with this same exact GE washer model
