We isntalled this kit yesterday, following the youtube video instructions. After finishing, the indicator arrow did fall between the minimum and maximum tabs as described. It actually engaged just a tick past one of the tabs. We had used the thinnest washer supplied. With that done and a spin cycle tested, it STILL made the same horrendous brake squeak at the end. We think that the thicker washer will cause the brake to engage sooner than it should, and fall outside of the indicated range, but we decided to try it anyway. However hard we tried, there doesn't seem to be enough room to use the thicker washer in place of the thinner one anyway, and there isn't a thinner washer to try.....Are we right in assuming that forcing the thicker washer somehow would only cause the brake to engage more abruptly and still squeak anyway, or should we try and try until we get it or break something, or does anyone have any other ideas?
