Kenmore 110.82873820 HD 70 series from 1989

no rough spots under agitator or on tub, dogs working okay, agitator seats all the way down on shaft (I can shine a flashlight through the bolt hole and see)

The only thing I can come up with now is operator error? At first I had a string pulled out of a hoodie sweatshirt end up under there, but I didn't think that was weird. Then there have been 2 diff pairs of yoga pants wrapped underneath lately. But I'd just like to make sure there's nothing else it could be first?
