Greetings,

As mentioned, I have a Whirlpool LGT7848AQ1 dryer that won't heat. Everything else about it runs fine. I took it apart enough to see that it's not choked with lint etc inside or in the venting pipe through to the outside output. No funny smells or sounds coming from it. Gas definitely flowing to the dryer.

I'm only going to spend just so much $$ on fixing it so, given what I've found in my research, I'm going to gamble that it's either the thermal fuse, the thermostat cutout or the thermostat (parts 7, 15 and 9 respectively in all the usual online exploded diagrams of the bulkhead parts). I've bought those three items and I get to return whichever ones I don't install. So - anyone have a good idea in what order I should install those to see which one (if it's only one, that is) fixes the issue?

Thanks to all in advance,

David Miller
