I have a Maytag dishwasher, model #MDB7749AWW2. When the "start" button is pressed, the light comes on, but nothing starts. After a few seconds the indicator light starts blinking. Looking thru this forum, it suggests that the thermal fuse is a culprit 50% of the time. Will the control panel lights still work if the thermal fuse has failed? How do I troubleshoot to determine if it truly is the thermal fuse that has failed? Are there any other items should be checked out?
