Hello,
I inherited a Samsung RH18HFENBSR Refrigerator that is about 2.5 years old when I bought a place. I don't have any issues except that the freezer has an "ICE OFF" button to turn the icemaker off and it chimes whenever you turn it on or off. Without anyone touching it the thing is chiming on and off and that ICE OFF display is lighting up.

Not only is the chiming driving me crazy but it is interrupting the cycle so ice isn't being made. I have done the following things so far as I am assuming this is a potential sensor issue?

-unplugged from outlet for over a minute, when plugged back in the chiming start right away
-ran a test cycle and it dumped the already made ice and filled the tray so it is not a freezing or physical issue with the icemaking cycle

-I have not pulled out the entire unit which is my next step and I also understand there is a temp sensor on the bottom of the tray, could that be it?

Anybody have any direction on this? it is driving me nuts during quarantine and I need ice for my cocktails...thanks a million
