Samsung dryer that is probably 7 years old. It starts up but only runs for like 5 minutes and shuts off. It will eventually kick back on but again it won’t stay running. I have done some googling. I checked the vent tube which was clear. I completely took the dryer apart and found the idler pulley to be extremely worn. I went ahead and changed it out as well as the belt and dryer rollers. We started it up and it ran a full cycle but the clothes were still damp.. We tried to run another cycle and the same problems started happening again. Some people say it could be the motor or the thermal fuse which is a world of difference in prices. Does anyone have any info on how I could pinpoint the issue or possibly even a solution?

My first question is does the unit warm up and get hot inside when you run a cycle? (Normal temp)
Next question if it does heat up is your dryer vent ducting clean - all the way to the exterior of the home whether its out the side wall or thru the roof?
If the unit will restart after a while it's not the fuse. The fuse doesn't reset.
Try running a cycle with the transition hose (slinky) disconnected andsee if it runs a full cycle.
