I'm trying to figure out why my WF419AAW washer is bouncing around and shutting down.

I've replaced the spider, and the basket is not out-of-round. The only other thing I can think of is the shock absorbers. They SEEM to be okay. It takes a fair amount of pressure to move them (almost exactly 5 lbs.). The only thing is is that they have over a 1/2" of play (the two that I removed) - meaning when changing direction either way, they move that much with little resistance.

Does anyone know off-hand if that sounds correct?

Thanks.
