I've had this ice maker KUIX505ESS2 for a little over a year and it rarely is able to fill much of the ice bin...even on the max ice setting.

Today I watched two dispensing cycles and saw where the ice sheet slides into the water reservoir rather than onto the cutter grid. Before it slid off, the front portion of the ice would separate from the pan, then the ice would slowly move forward a little. This would allow the front edge to dip down some so that when it suddenly released it would go down the narrow slit where the water goes rather than onto the cutter grid. I'm guessing something is wrong with what heats the pan (not heating evenly) or some kind of mineral build up is preventing a normal release. Any suggestions on what I need to do to resolve this would be appreciated. Thanks.
