My Frigidaire Affinity ATF6500FG0 stopped working. I pulled the code (E41) and replaced the door lock mechanism. The washer still doesn't operate and continues to throw an E41 code. I followed some troubleshooting in the maintenance manual and found the resistance on the wax motor of the new lock to be within spec, indicating that the new lock is likely good.
Following the guide, I then closed the door, and with the power on, measured the voltage of the black wire from the J2 plug on the main control to the ground and it reads 7 volts. The manual says if it reads 0 volts, check the door strike. If the door strike is good, then the door lock is bad. Replace the door lock. The manual continues to say that if you read 120v, you need to replace the control board.
My question is, what is the issue here? What does the 7V reading indicate? I'm trying my best not to have to replace the entire control board, and am good with a soldering iron. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
