Setting thermostat in the house I am able to feel air blowing, but the condensing unit outside is not working (fan not spinning - not "on"). I pulled fuses out and tested them - they are working - continuity. Installed 2005.

This will be a new adventure for me - (have totally pulled apart dishwashers and microwaves and ovens and a little work on furnace -- no a/c experience yet)

What should I look for next? For some reason I am a little intimidated at this one -- even though it looks pretty straight forward..Thanks in advance for the troubleshooting.

While I was waiting for anyone's input, I continue to investigate the issues. As I said, air was being blown out of the vents. Fuses working, but no sounds coming from the condensing unit outside. I tested the contactor and it did appear to have a "bug" in the contact. I replaced that and when I flipped power back on - I got that distinct humming sound - but no fan spinning. Which leads me to the capacitor. I don't know why I didn't do a visual check on this at an earlier time; but it is a little domed on top and I can now verify that there is power - so I ordered a new capacitor. Unless there is something additionally wrong with the fan motor as well, I think this will solve the issue. Will continue to update. So far only into this for about $35 for both parts and time...

Boom Fixed! New capacitor also installed. Cold air. contactor and capacitor replaced both for under $40.

I think you should consult with an HVAC contractor in your nearby location

Unfortunately, I've experienced the same issue a couple of years ago. It's ended up I had to order a completely new unit from Lennox. We still had a warranty and it was covered so I was kind of lucky.

Talking about aircons... I'm allergic to dust, so I keep my apartment spotless. I do wet cleaning of surfaces few times a week. Recently, I've had difficulties with my air conditioner. I noticed much more dust in the apartment. I called a technician to check the aircon. He said that filters are dirty, so it needs replacement. I was looking for qualitative A/C dust cleaner. Long story short, I purchased a nice In-Duct Air Purifier and a guy from https://www.airconservicing.org/why-choose-us/ installed it in the aircon. Since then my allergy appeared much less. Also, I don't need to do cleaning so often anymore.

In general, this problem is caused either by a dirty condenser and fan or a clogged condenser. The condenser unit won't turn on: If your team doesn't turn on at all, you may have a faulty motor, or the unit may not be receiving power. When your outside AC unit is not running, sometimes it's as simple as an on/off switch being accidentally turned off. Most outside fan units have an on-off switch in a small box by the department. Circuit breaker tripped: A circuit breaker could have been the cause of your outside AC unit stops working correctly. Call specialists from airconservicingsingapore.com if you are unable to solve the problem. Good luck!
