HI
I am not sure how old this unit is. It is a GE cooktop I am trying to help a family member who bought it used. We installed it and all seems fine except . the burners dont self light, the electrodes do not click. we can light the burners manually with a match and works fine after that . the previous owner said only one of the burners was out.

I am thinking it is the spark module but would like to make sure before we replace it.
I can access a multi meter from the tool lending library and I know now to test the electrodes with the multi meter using resistance, is that correct?
can I also test the connecting wires that way? is there anyway to test the spark module with the multi meter? or the wire harness that goes along the gas valves?
also on schematics i dont see the wire harness or wires that connect from the spark module to the electrodes.

thinking I may need to replace a couple of those wires since a couple of them look a little burnt on the end.

any help would be appreciated. I am trying to help her out..and learning as i go

we thank you !
