I discovered that the gas line to the clothes dryer had been turned off, and not turned back on, by some workmen recently. Before I turn it back on, I would like to know whether the dryer has a pilot or an igniter. I called Whirlpool with the model number LG9681XWW1, and was told the model specs were "no longer in their database." I did get an answer from one repair person but would feel a lot more comfortable having his answer confirmed. Does anyone know whether this model clothes dryer has a pilot or an igniter? Thanks in advance for any help.

It has an igniter. If you go to $ears you can look it up. They have the parts diagrams.
