Our whirlpool side by side stopped making ice, but the water dispenser still worked, so I thought it must be the water inlet valve. We replaced the whole icemaker unit a few years back, and if I manually pour water into the icemaker it will freeze and dump ice but not refill so I was sure it was the valve. Put the new valve in tonight, made sure nothing leaked, and, since I had manually filled the icemaker a few hours earlier but put the arm up so it wouldn't cycle, I dropped the arm and watched as it went thru the dump cycle, then when it came time to fill, the was a rather loud snap or pop sound, and no water filled the icemaker.

I am stumped here- what else could be wrong? I've done all I can think to do, so any help you could offer would sure be appreciated! Thank you in advance.
