My Whirlpool Duet Steam front load washer turned itself on and off all by itself with nobody around. I first noticed it when it woke me up in the middle of the night, and I pressed the power off button which worked for about an hour before it came back to life, at which time I unplugged it. The next day I plugged it back in to do a load of laundry and it worked fine for about 10 min, it than started to beep repeatedly and than stopped and drained the water and turned off. When I tried to turn it back on nothing happened, about two min later it sprang back on and off repeatedly for about 1 before it went off again.
