As to age of machine, I don't really know.

Problem: The machine beeps continuously at the end of the cycle (and maybe during the cycle but I can't detect it). The beeping only stops if the machine is disconnected from all power supply. When reconnected it is fine until run again.

The dish washing cycles all seem to work fine.

I have my suspicions but would like some input, if anyone has any experience that might shed light on this problem.
