How do I remove the control panel. All video I find show this model with a raised panel accessed by removing to screws for further removal. The top on my dryer is completely flat.

There are 2 possibilities, there may be screws around the back edge of the top panel or a screw under the knob. I'm not sure off the top of my head. If there are no screws holding the top panel on on the back edge, gently pull the knob straight off and there is a long screw under it. The control panel then slides up and off.
