Coin operated Gas Dryer doesn't heat on 2nd cycle

We have a coin operated Maytag LDG19CS (Series 02) dryer that is set to a 20 min timer cycle. It heats for the 1st 15 min and then cools for the last 5 min of the 1st cycle, and the clothes are not dry at the end. When we run a 2nd cycle, there is no heat.
What would be the likely causes of no heat on a second cycle?
Thanks, Sup

Hoping this will put your thread back to the top and someone else may answer.

I've confirmed that the gas ignites and provides heat during most of the 1st 20 minute timer cycle, but if we start a 2nd 20 minute cycle immediately, the igniter glows but there is no ignition and the igniter glow fades. If I wait a little while to start the 2nd cycle, it ignites and heats again. This dryer is probably about 20 yrs old. (P.S. Thanks for the bump brobriffin.)

With that bit of info it sounds like the coils might be going bad..
Try this, set it to run and at about 8 to 10 minutes open the door or whatever to interrupt the cycle then in a few seconds or so shut the door and restart the cycle. Does the gas ignite right away?

I did that today at around 5 min into the 1st cycle and the gas did ignite.
