ok. I have an Inglis ( whirlpool ) dryer, that is deader than a doornail. I have tested everything I can think of. In no particular order.

Thermal fuse
Door switch
Start button
both thermostats
timer
heating element
I even swapped another motor in.
I also even by-passed the safeties completely and ran wire to wire.

This dryer will not start. I had the timer apart to check the contacts, they are all good. I have now tried 2 different motors. Nothing. The 220 is good to the dryer. None of the wiring seems to be out of whack, rubbed bare or anything?

Any suggestions? Or should I just use this as a parts dryer. lol

Wow! You've shotgunned this thing. With all you've done it's hard to tell where to start.
1) 120v at thermal fuse, both terminals?
2) Little tab not broken off door switch, so machine knows it is closed?
3) 220v at the terminal block? Check for burnt off or badly corroded wiring above the terminal block.

You can ignore all thermostats/safeties other than the thermal fuse, none of the others will stop the motor. There is no belt switch. You may have a wiring harness issue. Check light blue from timer through thermal fuse to motor. Should be little to no resistance.

This is a very old and simple design, I've never had one that couldn't be fixed.
