I have a GE Profile, bottom freezer refrigerator, that is having trouble keeping the freezer portion cold. It happens sporadically, mainly during the Summer months, for the past several years (lived alone, never got around to fixing it). I will usually unplug it, and that sometimes usually fixes it.
-this model has the temp showing, and the freezer will go from 0 to 33 degrees, and the refrigerator will go up about 5 degrees.
-when the freezer gets warm, I do hear a loud humming noise that's coming from the back, where the freezer is located. (also, the separator between the fridge and freezer doors is very hot to touch), and I do feel cold air being blown into freezer.
-took off the back panel, and everything was clean, and the Condenser Fan was turning (Not really fast, but not sluggish either), and coils were clean as well
Any suggestions on how to fix would be great appreciated.
Thanks!

curious if you ever figured this out. I am having a very similar issue with mine- the GE techs have been out 3 times to look at it and have no answers.
