can't figure out how to release the two brackets holding old timer in....you tube says mounting screws, but mine doesn't have those...

There should be 2 1/4" screws that screw into the back of the console, on the inside. If not take a pic and post it. I don't think any of these slide into a slot and lock in but maybe.

thank you so much for your reply. Mine had no screws....there were two metal locking brackets....I figured it out....you had to push in a release tab on top and bottom and then the timer slid off of that bracket clip....there was also one on bottom of timer that did same thing...not much room to work...but got it out, put new one in and all cycles work like a charm! Feeling pretty good about it!
