So the power went out the other night and I turned on my generator for the first time since I put in a new service panel. Guess what... wired the genny wrong. Sent 220 to parts of the house. Thank God no one was hurt and only 4 light bulbs went out and my dryer. And I had my electrician friend come over and tell me what I needed to do. It's now working correctly. Now I want to do my best to replace the correct part. I have looked online and found the repair guide yet with my stellar electrical skills I want to make sure I'm doing this correct. Here is a video of my control board with what I think will confirm it's bad. If one of you could guide me on to to property test out the control board, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Lilpig

Lilpig, Unplug the dryer and remove the top panel. The machine electronic control board is located one upper right side of the dryer cabinet. Remove the three screws that hold the machine control bracket in place and remove the assembly. As you remove the assembly from its mounting position, rotate the assembly up to access the machine control circuit board and set it on the side panel. The repair video on the bottom would help you too. Check the control board for any black marks and/or burned spots. If any, the control board would need to be replaced. Locate the P1 (five pins) plug on the control board. Remove this plug and make sure no wires are touching each other and/or any metal parts. Reconnect the power to the dryer and check for 120 VAC between the wires connected to the pins P1-2 and P1-5. If the reading is correct, the control board would need to be replaced. Just a little more confirmation. I can see the transformer is blown from the video.
Unless you have a new transformer you can solder on to the board, you will need to replace the board. The transformer is only 120 volts and you fed it 240 volts. Other parts on the board maybe damaged as well.
Its new board time.

Hello, my dryer has no power and I check for voltage between the P1-2 and P1-5 but it show zero (0) voyage. Does this mean the control board is bad and need to be replaced?
