I have a whirlpool model wtw4800bq, when you push the start button it begins to fill with water, tried to lock...lock light then repeatedly flashes and machine stops filling, and does nothing else...I checked and made sure water lines are clear...I took the code manual from inside the machine and I think it flashed error code f1e2 which from what I read it's the control board..but if you run manual tests all functions except wash work....it Balanced and has water flow but won't wash..any clue what I should try next beside control board

That's a motor control error. Could be main control or motor, or wiring to the motor. Also could be a stuck basket. Does it turn freely by hand? https://www.manualslib.com/manua...ol-Wtw4800xq.html#manualIf you have a multimeter you can go through the tests in the manual if you want. However I'd first unplug it, lean it back and look under to see if there is any obvious wires broken, particularly if it has a 3" coil of red wires clipped to the bottom. Also look at and feel the capacitor for signs it has melted down. It'll smell like burnt plastic if bad. It's a black cylinder about 3 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter, mounted towards the back underneath. If it's compromised in any way, melted, distorted, etc... that's your issue. The caps fail frequently and will cause a variety of motor issues, from no motion to a loud hum.
