The dual element on my electric range stopped working correctly. The outer 1" ring works fine. When I took the glass top apart I found the blue wire where it connected to element burnt off. I checked the element for resistance and I think it is fine. Just wondering why this would happen. Can I just solder the wire back on since the staycon male end is mostly gone? I would love to add pics but don't know how.
