When I select the cycle and pull out knob to start, it starts agitation or spinning before filling with water. Does this for all cycles. I replaced the timer about 6 mo. ago for same problem and it worked fine. Is it the timer again! Thanks for any help

I'd think it would have something to do with the pressure switch that controls the water level. I'm not familiar with this particular temperature/pressure switch, but I've heard some stories.

When you turn the washer timer to a cycle, the washer begins to fill with water. When the washer is full enough, the pressure switch shuts off the water and the machine washes.

If the switch becomes stuck internally, it won't register that all the water has drained out or it might think the washer is full when its not.

I could be wrong. but that's my best guess on this. You might want to check the pressure dome on the side of the tub. The small plastic hose from the temp switch leads down to it. Sometimes they get plugged up and cause the same problem.
