Hello my Son's washer was locked up and wouldn't spin. We found a piece of loose debris in the motor coupler area and removed it and it began working again, but now once it reaches high speed in the spin cycle it locks up and stops spinning. Any ideas?

Are all the pieces of the coupler intact? The lock up occurs due to brake engaging, so either the transmission isn't spinning the clutch and brake release or the clutch is slipping. It may be the coupler is bad or the clutch may be going bad. Also is the transmission staying in neutral until the drain mode is finished, or does it start spinning immediately after the agitation cycle? If it isn't staying in neutral during drain that will cause the coupler to fail and can burn out the clutch.
