Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/6/2016(UTC) Posts: 1		Embarrassing situation. We had a bad mouse infestation in our gas range. Managed to get rid of the mice, however now the oven stinks terribly whenever it's used. I partially disassembled the range, vacuumed out all the mice 'mess' i can find, but it still really stinks when oven is on. I'm assuming the fiberglass insulation was urine soaked. My question: Will replacing the insulation get rid of the smell, or should I just replace the oven? Thanks all!

Replacing the insulation blanket will help a lot. Will it get rid of all the smells? Its hard to say. Is it hard to do? Fairly hard, just take photos of the wiring and be careful.
