I have a Maytag SE1000 stack. Last night the laundry room floor is flooded and water coming from under my washer. The tub was full and overflowing. The weird thing is that the washer was off and hasn't been used in several days! While it was off, it just filled and overflowed by itself!
Is there some internal water valve that is not closing completely? Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your water valve is stuck open internally. You need a new one.

Whirlpool WP206413 Water Valve - AppliancePartsPros.com

Kind of expensive for what it is.
