I have a whirlpool dryer model wed5320sq0 that is not heating. Also, the timer does not advance on timed dry. I've replaced: 1. Thermal fuse 2. Heating element 3. Timer 4. Both thermostats on the side of the heating element
None of these were the answer and I realized that my continuity tests were telling me this but I made a mistake and thought I could replace these and fix them anyway. Oh well! :)
Any idea what I'm missing?

First thing to check would be do you have 220/240v at the terminal block. If you have that voltage across the red and black leads I would then suspect you are not getting a complete circuit from the motors centrifugal switch. The second half of the power to the heating element comes directly from the terminal block to the centrifugal switch on the motor then to the heating element. You will need to manually trip the centrifugal switch to see if you have continuity there. The test will be across the two outside terminals. watch Bill to see how. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wnEEIAsmok
