Maytag washer leaving cloths wet at end of spin cycle, basket is spinning. What do I check first? Thanks Michael

Are you 100% sure the basket is spinning? If so does the tub stay full of water? If not I suspect you have a clog in the drain line. The Whirlpool system is suppose to drain the water first then stop and then spin the remaining water out of the clothes as it continues to drain the water. Check first to see if all the water is evacuating the tub before it starts to spin.
