Have a JennAir 42" wide built in fridge, Model JF42NXFXDW01.

It seemed to get a bit noisier. I disassembled the top parts to get to the condenser fan. Took the fan and its motor out. The blades were filthy, so I cleaned them up, along with whatever I could reach in the upper cabinet.

This seemed to quiet things down quite a bit, but there also seems to be an intermittent bearing sound coming from the lower part of the rear of the fridge. The noisy operation goes on a for a few minutes and then stops for a longer amount of time.

I looked up the exploded parts manual and can see nothing that could be making this noise on the outside of the cabinet.

I was thinking maybe evaporator fan, but that is inside. When opening the fridge doors or the freezer drawer, the fan does not sound unusual.

So I was thinking I should remove it and inspect it, but it appears the drawer must be removed to access it.

FWIW I have the ice maker turned off and do not use it for making ice. So the noise should not be coming from anything ice-maker related, correct?

Do you think I am on the right path to finding the source of the noise? If so, can somebody post instructions on how to get the freezer drawer out of the cabinet, so I can access the evaporator fan cover panel and fan motor?

UPDATE-must be the evaporator fan. Can most certainly hear it with the freezer drawer open.
Now all I have to do is figure out how to remove the drawer so I can access the fan.
Thank You!
Fred
